Leisure Isle tells the story of Knysna. Linked to the mainland by a narrow causeway. Set at the edge of the Knysna lagoon, this place has been here practically forever. The grounds are well kept and the park feels very natural and relaxed. I had a seriously enjoyable couple of weeks here.
Perfectly situated about halfway between the town of Knysna itself and the Heads, which is of course where one might go for a swim, a nature walk or a great meal.

Comfortably appointed chalets and sweet little caravans are available as well as Caravan stands. Monks is an old favourite with South Africans and international travellers alike.

There is nothing to compare with the peace and tranquillity of a lazy Saturday afternoon under the cool trees in Monk’s Holiday Park. Take a swim in the pool or stroll out to leisure island to swim in the rejuvenating waters of the Knysna lagoon.

Monk’s is a family owned and run business which probably accounts for the friendly welcoming manner of not only the family but also their staff who were polite and unobtrusive.
